In July, I decided I missed teaching. I had taken a break from posting on YouTube, and I wrapped up most of my other teaching for others. In March I had closed down my website and email list. This summer I decided I wanted to rebuild my business and my songwriting community on my own, new, refreshed terms. I spent a few months figuring out what really resonates with me, and what is important to me. I truly missed having my own avenues of promoting the craft of songwriting. I missed the connections and community that I have built over the years.
In the last month I have finished a few more songs for my new album that will be called, “Time Machine.” I also got new products launched on my site. The best part of this last month has been hosting a workshop and a new weekly songwriter meeting. It was so great to see that other writers never forgot me…just as I never forgot them. I have to say the community of songwriters is made of some really great people, and I am honored to be a part of it.
